Guinness
Quite possibly the most famous stout in the world, Guinness is produced by the Guinness brewery in Dublin, Ireland, and other locations in Ireland. It is a very dark stout beer that has a notable "cascade" effect below the head when it is poured. Creamy and smooth, it starts sweet with the caramel malt. Then the roasted barley brings things to a nicely bitter finish.

Stella Artois
Stella Artois is one of the world’s best-selling beers and is enjoyed in more than 80 countries. Its full, characteristic flavour and high quality is assured through a superior brewing process and by using the finest ingredients available.

Steinlager Pure
Steinlager Pure has a smooth, easy-drinking taste that is perfectly balanced, from the light New Zealand hop nose to its crisp, clean finish. Steinlager Pure is perfectly matched with seafood and a great mouth cleanser for hotter dishes.

Becks
Made from the original 1873 recipe, the signature brew has a full bodied taste, hoppy bouquet, golden brown coulour and rich full head. Your tasting notes might say something like "a slightly fruity but crisp firmness- ends with a clean dry finish" but most people simply say "now thats a Becks."

Swine Lager Boutique
A lager with mid-straw colour. Uses the finest New Zealand malt and hops, batch fermented to give a smooth lager with understated hop characters and a sweetish malty flavour.

Kilkenny Irish Beer
Kilkenny Irish Beer is a mildly hopped reddish Irish ale named for Kilkenny, its hometown. Its flavour also includes the aroma of toasted bread. Kilkenny Irish Beer is the best-selling ale-beer in the Nordic countries and Finland. Goes well with white meat fish, potato dishes, pork dishes, ham, smoked meats.

Mac's Isaac's Cider
There’s no doubt the time is right for a refreshing change, new Mac’s Isaac’s Cider made from locally grown apples. Mac's Isaac's Cider offers a more yeasty aroma and flavour, but it's still sweet. The apple flavour is riper and less "green".

New Zealand has long established itself as a fine brewer of beer, scooping many international awards. At the Pig & Whistle you’ll find an extensive range of New Zealand lagers and ales like Steinlager Pure.
Imported Beers
You will also find a large selection of imported beers including Becks, Corona and Stella Artois.
New Zealand and Australian Wines
Along with the down-under beers the Pig & Whistle stocks a great range of red and white wines. Our House Wine range comes from Kopiko Bay available by glass, and a wide range of other wines such as Oyster Bay and Te Whare Ra are available by glass or by bottle.
